PRESENTATION COACHING
Leadership and communication are two words that are inextricably linked. Leaders must be able to inspire, to motivate, to persuade, and this can only be done by presenting your ideas effectively.
Trine Strategies offers Executive Presentation Coaching for rising leaders and executives who want to improve their ability to create compelling content and ensure their delivery is dynamic. Through our tailored coaching program, leaders will learn how to create the conditions for their audience to understand, to feel valued, and to take action.
If you're looking to up your game and PERFORM YOUR BEST as a leader, contact us now!
At Trine, we help you PERFORM YOUR BEST whether you're speaking one-on-one to your CEO, talking with your peers in a small group meeting, or presenting to stakeholders in front of a large audience.
Our approach combines our experience in speechwriting and executive counsel with our desire to help you become the best version of yourself.
Our Executive Presentation Coaching contains four core elements, each designed to maximize our clients' ability to improve their own unique presentation style.
Goal Setting
Our first rule is to begin with the end in mind and work backward to achieve that goal. We work with our clients to set realistic goals on where they can improve and ensure our coaching is tailored to those needs.
Many of our clients want help presenting in weekly team meetings or speaking confidently to an executive. Others want to improve their executive presence when presenting to their Board of Directors. Still others need help refreshing their presentations to be more impactful and persuasive for a niche (but critical) audience.
Whatever your need, we'll work with you to design our coaching to get you there.
Compelling Content
We often hear from presenters that they have a hard time with delivery, but often that's less about "stage fright" and more about being hamstrung by weak or unfocused content.
A good presentation starts with content that answers the questions the audience wants (or needs) to know. We use the "Think/Feel/Do" approach to creating a presentation, putting ourselves in the audience's shoes so they understand why you're there and what you need from them. By building presentations from this perspective, we ensure you're only adding the content that absolutely needs to be there, reducing the noise from too many data points or tangents that won't matter to your listeners. Most importantly, it will make it easier to confidently deliver your message whether you're a seasoned pro or new presenter.
Whether you're speaking extemporaneously in a team meeting, using a PowerPoint presentation as part of a virtual webinar, or giving a scripted speech in-person in front of hundreds, it all starts with the content.
Dynamic Delivery
Even though we prioritize creating compelling content, we also work with speakers to ensure the way they present accomplishes their goals.
Each interaction a speaker has with their audience is an opportunity to build credibility and increase trust - which ultimately impacts how an audience thinks, feels, or acts. We use proven techniques to help speakers present confidently and effectively whether in person or virtually, in front of one or hundreds.
We know that the two most important parts of a presentation are the beginning and the ending. We work with clients to frame their delivery to manage audience expectation, hook (and keep) their attention, and use the speaker's strengths to end with a call to action that can't be ignored.
Practice & Evaluation
Learning the philosophy behind presenting won't make you a better presenter by itself. You need practice with realtime feedback to understand what you're doing well and where you can improve.
Each coaching session includes time for practice to ensure our clients can apply what they're learning and receive "speech hacks" to help them quickly make adjustments where necessary.
By setting a baseline and working off our clients' goals, we can map the path to those goals and give course corrections along the way - ensuring short-term improvement and long-term retention of those gains.
Our Clients
We work with speakers and presenters of all experience levels.
Our clients include individual contributors, first-time leaders, and seasoned executives.
We consult on a variety of subjects across industries, including insurance, energy, aerospace and defense, political engagement, outdoor recreation, industrial manufacturing, health care, and more.
Here's what some of our clients have to say about working with Trine Strategies.
Tim - Senior Director, Political Engagement
Rocky was a great partner in revitalizing a presentation deck and talking points my team and I use frequently. The program was tailored specifically to the needs of both our program and to my personal goals. I came away from my sessions with greater confidence in my ability to both formally present to a group as well as communicate with colleagues internally as well. Went far above my expectations.
Rebecca - Chief Operating Officer
I had an amazing experience working with Rocky at Trine Strategies. I feel more confident about presenting and developing material and preparing for those opportunities. I am already looking for an opportunity to work with him again!
Katherine - Senior Manager, Public Affairs
Rocky's coaching was not only a great asset for a specific presentation I was working on, but it also provided me with tools to excel in my meetings on the Hill and with my team members in a professional setting. Although I've had confidence issues with public speaking, Rocky helped me explore various preparation and organization options, which helped me overcome these challenges.
